Quads vs. Straight Flush AKA WTF!

This screen shot is courtesy of Scott Matusow (Mike's brother), he emailed it over today.

Sick.

What else can you say? A one outer takes down the pot for 70K+. I would vomit right on the table (or keyboard in this case)...

Stop reading about people playing poker and start PLAYING. Mike plays at Full Tilt, do you?

Matusow loses big in recent High Stakes Poker taping

I wrote recently about The Mouth being invited to play in the Euro version of High Stakes Poker. Well, play he did but unfortunately the result wasn't so great. I've got insider information from another player in that same game that Mike Matusow dropped 200K during the taping. The big winner was apparently Phil Ivey taking down a little over a 100K and Tony G in a close second with around 85K.

Some of the other players that were present for the taping were Howard Lederer, Jennifer Harman, Erik Siedel, and Gus Hansen. In all around 15 players rotated in and out of the game and there were several young Euro Internet players as well trying to play with the big guns of poker.

In other news, taping of the US version of the show also just wrapped at the South Coast Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Look for a write on that game in a few days.

The truth behind the online gambling ban

If you play online poker, you MUST watch this video and pass along to your friends. It's important to know ALL of the facts behind the corrupt Senator Bill Frist and his reasons for pushing this legislation through in such a cowardly and underhanded way:

Enough said. Make sure your voice is heard when it comes time to vote in November.

There are a few rooms you can still play in the US, the biggest can be found here.

Matusow bankroll bounces back

The Mouth was spotted last night at Full Tilt Poker with just shy of 100K spread across three Omaha tables. At the time he was waiting on opponents so there are no action screen shots available but it's good to see that he's bounced back from going broke a few weeks ago!

In unrelated news, the mystery man of the hour seems to be TexasLimitKing who was spotted last night with One Million Dollars in front of him at Full Tilt Poker. That's right folks, seven figures. Many are taking guesses at who this person is but so far, no one has offered up any hard proof. Some saw it's Texas Billionaire Andy Beal but others say it's an amatuer player from Sweden. Who knows, it could be any number of people nowadays. Regardless, he wound up heads up with EastSideSlim (Dustin Woolf) and wiped him out for 100K in short order.

Leif Force vs. the Geico Caveman

(For those that don't know Leif Force was a player that made it deep into the field at the 2006 WSOP. He basically grew up with hippies in the woods, hence the growing rumor that he is in fact, related to the Geico Caveman.)

Who would win in a heads up battle? Who the hell cares? These guys are brothers, I'm convinced...

Don't play poker like it's the Stone Age, the biggest poker room still accepting US players will treat you like a star!

Mike's thoughts on the Internet Gambling Ban

Unless you've been under a rock for the last week, you know that the corrupt Senator Bill Frist underhandedly attached his Internet Gambling Ban bill to the certain to be approved Port Security bill. The bill was approved with ease and now everyone from online pro players to the casual player faces an uncertain future when it comes to playing a favorite American pastime enjoyed by over 60 million people. Don't you just love it when our Government decides what we should be able to do in the privacy and comfort of the same homes that we own and pay taxes on? Anyway, I digress...

Mike Matusow let his opinion be known during a session yesterday on Full Tilt Poker-

While taking 20K swings during this same session, Mike finally saw a familar face arrive and again, made it clear that he was happy to see Gus!

Mike Matusow: omg there is a god

Mike Matusow: gus is here

Mike Matusow: tytytytygod

Please let your voice be heard and join the PPA. Make sure that you vote on November 7 and use the power of our freedom to show these corrupt politicians that we won't stand by and allow them to destroy our beloved game.
