Mike Matusow coming to the Silver Screen

In Spring 2006, the biggest poker motion picture ever to grace the silver screen will be coming to a theatre near you. "Lucky You," starring Drew Barrymore, Eric Bana and Robert Duval, has also gathered together dozens of poker's biggest names, who will be playing either themselves or fictional alter egos.

Mike will appear in the movie along with Jack Binion, Doyle Brunson, Johnny Chan, Hoyt Corkins, Antonio Esfandiari, Sam Farha, Chris Ferguson, Ted Forrest, Phil Hellmuth, Jennifer Harman, Dan Harrington, John Juanda, Jason Lester, Erick Lindgren, Daniel Negreanu, and Erik Seidel. In addition to making appearances in the film, Doyle Brunson and Tournament Director Matt Savage also offered their expert advice during filming. You may notice that alot of the names above are also Full Tilt Poker pros, are these folks the cream of the crop or what? Expect to hear alot out of this group!

Filming took place both in Las Vegas and in LA. Parts of the movie were filmed in the Bellagio, Binions and the Aladdin Casinos, while other parts relied on replicas of Benny's Bullpen at Binion's (the location of the WSOP until 2004) and the Bellagio poker room.

A message from Mike

From the Full Tilt Poker website-

My name is Mike Matusow and I play online poker at Full Tilt Poker. If you want to learn more about my poker career, keep reading...

Like many other professional players, my career began as a dealer. After countless hours spent turning cards and analyzing hands, I decided to put my money where my mouth was and start playing for myself. I honed my skills playing late night games at Sam's Casino in Las Vegas and, after achieving some success, decided to play full time.

I earned my first WSOP bracelet in 1999 and my second in 2002. I had another strong showing at the 2005 WSOP, finishing ninth in the Main Event.

If you want to learn more about me, come join me at the tables at Full Tilt Poker.

Mike "The Mouth" Matusow

You may have seen Mike "The Mouth" Matusow and his famous breakdown last year at the World Series of Poker. You may be here because you've heard stories about the man they call "The Mouth". Regardless of why you're here I'd like to welcome you to the unofficial Fan Site for Mike "The Mouth" Matusow.

I have the upmost respect for Mike, I think he's a talented poker player with a passion for the game that few others have. So what if he has a meltdown or two at the poker table. He may jaw a little more with other players than most but is that any different than a Phil Hellmuth rant? I think he's one of the most talented players in the game and his final table finish at this years World Series of Poker is a testament to that.

I'll be adding content here daily but wanted to preface this blog with my feelings about Mike. I have played online with him many times at Full Tilt Poker and I wanted to create a fan site for him since most people have a jaded view of the man they call "The Mouth". Please come back as I work on this blog daily and learn more about this talented poker pro.

Thanks for visiting!
