Great Interview With Mike Matusow Over At Donkey Fish Poker

Here's a few of my favorites:

DFP: Do you prefer online or live poker?

MM: I love live, but online I'm addicted way too much!!

DFP: Where do you see poker going in the next 10 years?

MM: It will taper off and slow down. I see the main event back under 2000 people within 5 years.

DFP: How did you build your bankroll? What game and stakes did you play at first? How many times, if ever, have you gone broke?

MM: I had backers, playing 5/10 at first. I’ve gone broke too many times to count. Over at least 50 times.

Matt Matros and Mike in a Hand

Matt Matros tells of a hand where Mike really put him to making a decision and Matt made the wrong one.

The Top 10 Reasons Why So Many Big-Name Professional Poker Players Are Broke

Interesting (though somewhat arguable) post by Poker King about why some big name pros are stuck. He mentions Mike specifically saying:

10. Unsuccessful online cash game play. Ask Mike Matusow about this, who has dropped over $2.5 million dollars playing online. Sometimes, successful live player just does not translate to successful play online.
